When I was in Hong Kong, I was a 19 year old sailor in the US Navy, stationed aboard the Battleship USS Wisconsin BB-64. We made a stop in Hong Kong from December 22nd to December 29th, 1953. The foremost remembrance I have about Hong Kong, is that the people were very friendly, courteous and helpful. I was amazed at all the Junks, Sampans and house boats that were moored in the harbor. I was fascinated with the life style of Hong Kong, the shops, the apartment houses, cars on the streets and people everywhere. I wish I could remember more.
