Winning entries in the "Blossoming Welcome for the EAG" Photo Competition of the Hong Kong Flower Show 2009, which was organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and held in March at Victoria Park, are now on display in Kowloon Park Arcade until July 31, from 7am to 11pm daily. Admission to the exhibition is free.

The photo competition, jointly organised by the LCSD and Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), was one of the show's major fringe activities to promote community greening. This year, the competition received over 7,000 entries.

The competition was divided into three categories - Category A: Portrait of TVB Artistes and Miss Hong Kong (Open Section and Student Section); Category B: Flower; and Category C: Snapshots.

Winning entries include impressive photographs of beautiful flowers and plants, interesting features, portraits of artistes from TVB and Miss Hong Kong title holders in the garden displays.

Chan Shek-fai is the first prize winner in the category: Portrait of TVB Artistes and Miss Hong Kong (Open Section).

The first prize winner in the Flower section is Wong Chun-leong.

Lam Hoi-fung from Beacon College (Tuen Mun Branch) is the first prize winner in the category: Portrait of TVB Artistes and Miss Hong Kong (Student Section).

The first prize winner in the Snapshots Section is Tony Ma Man-tung.
